The TLE5x0916(D) angle sensors are designed for angular position sensing in safety critical automotive and non- automotive applications. Their high accuracy combined with short propagation delay make especially the GMR sensor variants suitable for systems with high speeds and high accuracy demands such as brushless DC (BLDC) motors for actuators and electric power steering systems (EPS). The two versions are pin-compatible for easy scalability. In the dual die TLE5x09A16D, both sensor dies are supplied independently by separate supply and ground pins. All products come inside the TDSO-16 Package. The whole TLE5109 family is ready for ISO 26262, targeting ASIL D for dual die sensors. This makes the products a perfect fit for both automotive as well as industrial safety applications.TLE5109 products can be used within a very broad magnetic field range, starting at 10 mT reaching up to more than 500mT. One major benefit of the Infineon iAMR technology is its high angle accuracy, reaching typical values of 0.1° angle error only for magnet fields above 20mT only. At low magnetic fields of 10…20 mT, TLE5109 products are outperforming the market due to their benchmark small typical angle error of only 0.2°. Reaching such low error values at low magnetic fields, TLE5109 products enable very cost-efficient systems as customers can use smaller and cheaper magnets for reaching the same system accuracy.
