XDP700-002 is a new member of Infineon Technologies intelligent hot-swap controller and protection IC family able to drive a single or multiple parallel N-channel MOSFETs.Key resource of XDP700-002 include high-precision AFE, extensive variety of system warnings and protections, high-speed communiction via PMBus to main CPU, reset, shutdown, retry and digital SOA control gate driver and charge pump for a cotrolled turn ON and safe operation.

XDP710-001 is not for new design. Please refer to XDP710-002.XDP710 is the first member of Infineon Technologies intelligent hot-swap controller and protection IC family. This device has a 5.5 V – 80 V input voltage range with transient up to 100 V for 500 ms that drives a single or multiple parallel N-Channel MOSFETs.A combination of high-precision telemetry and digital SOA control block optimized on Infineon’s power MOSFETs characteristics, the system resources and management block and the integrated gate driver and charge pump block for n-channel power MOSFETs such as OptiMOS™ and StrongIRFET™ families provides a controlled turn ON and continuous system health monitoring and communication to the main MCU via PMBus interface.The high-speed communication through PMBus allows system designers to disable the downstream sub-systems fully or partially. It incorporates an extensive variety of system protections for safety operation and generates various protection responses depending on the severity of the incident. Latch off, reset, system shutdown and retry are some examples of response types. Its SOA protection effectively ensures that the system FET always operates under safe condition.
