To link a part in the Design view to a DigiKey part, select the status indicator in that status column. The status may be one of the following:
Warning status 
The part is not linked to a DigiKey part. A yellow status shows that the Manufacturer name or part number may be different from the linked DigiKey part.
Ready status 
The part is linked to a DigiKey part.
Selecting the indicator in the status column will bring open the Part Search tab with the manufacturer part number pre-populated, if available in your design. If no manufacturer part number is available, the Value will be used as the default search string.
While in the Part Search tab, you may Update a single Part or Update Multiple parts.
